Bio

Tommy is a native of Louisiana. Born and raised in Shreveport,
he obtained a Bachelors of Science in Information Systems from Louisiana Tech in 1999.
He has since worked as a network administrator and
a web designer. He spent two years in Zambia (Southern
Africa) with the IMB assisting missionaries
with their computer needs (bmoz.org).
It was also in Zambia that Tommy met
his wife Stephanie, also there for two years.
They married May 8, 2004 and are currently living in Richmond, VA. Tommy is
a part-time Children's Ministry Coordinator at
Bethany Place Baptist Church and is taking online seminary classes through
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
, & Stephanie works as a Research Scientist for Philip-Morris. Their daughter,
Claire Marie Knighten, was born November 8, 2006.

Where are we now?

Long time, no update! Stephanie & I have been married 3 1/2 years now, and in November 2006 Claire Marie was born!
She's over a year old now, and walking all over the place. She's talking a lot, but not really in English... and as you can see, she's cute as a button (and knows it!)
Stephanie's still been working at Philip Morris as a Research Scientist. I've been working part-time at Bethany Place Baptist as a Children's Ministry Coordinator, and taking online classes through Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
I've enjoyed working with the kids, though children's ministry seems to be much more about administration and volunteer management than direct ministry to kids. It's a

|
lot different than the youth ministry I'd done in the past, but is a very rewarding ministry. I've learned a lot through this opportunity.
We're looking at what it'll take to finish my Seminary classes. At some point, we hope to move to Ft. Worth so I can attend class full-time.
